Supporting Ukrainian Refugees through Music
We are thrilled to announce a special event that combines the power of music with the spirit of service: The Liya Music Camp Benefit Concert. This unique program aims to support Ukrainian refugees through a music camp initiative organized by Liya Christian Ministry in partnership with SALT.
SALT’s mission is to train, plant churches, and serve the nations through gospel-driven leadership development. Their vision is to see 100,000 pastors and leaders trained in order to plant healthy churches, businesses, and non-profit organizations to fulfill the Great Commission throughout the world.
It has been our greatest pleasure to host Liya Music Camp for the last two years, and THIS year, Liya Music Camp will be traveling to Krakow, Ukraine for Music Camp!
As part of our joint mission to “make disciples of all nations,” Court Street UMC is honored to host the second benefit concert of the series. The concert will take place on Sunday, May 19th , in our sanctuary, and we invite you to join us for an unforgettable afternoon of music and philanthropy.
The benefit concert will feature an exceptional lineup of performers, including former Liya Music Campers, the Youth Chamber Group through Ecclesia School of the Arts, and the string faculty of Liberty University. These talented musicians will showcase their skills and share their passion for music while supporting a meaningful cause. In addition to musical performances, the concert will include worship songs led by the entire group, creating a truly uplifting experience for all who attend.
During each benefit concert, a love offering will be taken up to support their upcoming mission trip to Ukraine, scheduled from July 22 to August 1, 2024. The funds raised will directly contribute to sponsoring those going on the mission trip to provide music camp experiences for Ukrainian refugees, offering them hope, healing, and a sense of community through the power of music.
For those unable to attend in person, we encourage you to participate by making online donations, which will be updated and shared throughout the performance. Your generosity will make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need, and we are grateful for your support.
We understand that not everyone may be able to attend both concerts, but we invite you to join us at either location for an evening filled with beautiful music and heartfelt giving. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and spread love and compassion to those who need it most.
Thank you for your continued support and participation in this important cause. We look forward to seeing you at the Liya Music Camp Benefit Concert and the joy of sharing the gospel through music.
Gospel Community Church (College Hill) is hosting the first concert in the series, on Saturday May 18th at 2:00PM.
