We are excited to announce the results of our recent Souper Bowl Campaign, where we came together as a community to support a great cause, Meals on Wheels of Greater Lynchburg. Thanks to your incredible generosity and team spirit, we are thrilled to announce that we raised a total of $815!

The competition was fierce, with fans of the Chiefs and the 49ers rallying to support their teams and, more importantly, to support Meals on Wheels. When the donations were counted on Sunday after service, it was 49ers $359, and Chiefs $306! But an early afternoon online donation took it over the top for the Kansas City Chiefs! In the end, the Chiefs fans came out on top, contributing a total of $456, while the 49ers fans weren’t far behind with $359.

But the real winner of this campaign is Meals on Wheels, an organization that provides vital support to those in need in our community. With the funds raised, Meals on Wheels will be able to continue their important work of delivering nutritious meals to seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring that they have access to healthy food and companionship.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in our Souper Bowl Campaign. Whether you donated, volunteered, or simply cheered on your favorite team, your contributions made a difference. Together, we have shown the power of coming together as a community to support those in need.

At Court Street UMC, we believe in the importance of serving others and making a positive impact in our community. The success of our Souper Bowl Campaign is a testament to the strength and generosity of our congregation.

Thank you once again for your support, and congratulations to the Chiefs fans for their victory! But most importantly, thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of others through your kindness and generosity.
